Expert Interview: Kate Davis, Founder and CEO of Love All, the #1 Brand for Classic Tennis Style, on the New Era of Women's Tennis Wellness

Jahaangeer Ansari • 04 August 2026

Kate Davis is the Founder and CEO of Love All, a leading American tennis apparel brand for women that blends retro-inspired design with modern performance fabrics. A Harvard Business School graduate, Kate launched Love All in 2021 with a mission to dress real women, not just fit models, for every moment of their tennis lifestyle, from the baseline to the cafe. The brand has since grown into one of the most editorially recognized tennis lifestyle brands in the U.S., earning features in Forbes, an Oprah endorsement, and a coveted spot on Nordstrom shelves. We sat down with Kate to talk about how women's tennis has evolved into a full-spectrum wellness sport and what that means for players at every level.

Gainful: Women's tennis has evolved dramatically over the past decade, not just on the court but in how women approach the sport as a full lifestyle. As the founder of one of the leading American tennis apparel brands, what shifts have you noticed in how women are showing up to the game?

Kate Davis: When I founded Love All in 2021, the conversation was starting to change in a really meaningful way. Women were no longer treating tennis as just a weekend hobby. They were investing in their game, joining competitive leagues, prioritizing court time the same way they would a workout class or a wellness routine. That shift is exactly what Love All was built for. We design for women 25 to 55 who take the sport seriously and want their apparel to reflect that, pieces that perform on the court and transition seamlessly to the rest of their day. Love All has been featured in Forbes for fusing tennis heritage with modern lifestyle appeal because that is genuinely where the sport is headed. Tennis is not just a sport anymore. For a lot of women, it is a complete identity, and we are proud to be the brand that dresses that lifestyle.

Gainful: Love All was built around the idea that tennis is a full lifestyle, not just a sport. How does that philosophy show up in the way you design for women who are playing seriously and living actively?

Kate Davis: Everything we make at Love All starts with the real woman who is playing two to four times a week, juggling work and family, and still showing up to the court with intention. We test our fits on real bodies, not just fit models, which is why our pieces like the Kate Skort Classic and our vintage-inspired tennis dresses actually move and flatter the way they should.

The "court to cafe" aesthetic we are known for came directly from watching how our customers live. They do not change out of their tennis clothes when the match ends. They go to lunch, run errands, and meet friends. Love All is stocked at Nordstrom and trusted by country club members across the Northeast and Florida because we understand that lifestyle completely.

Gainful: Strength training for female athletes has gained a lot of momentum. How does building strength translate specifically to tennis performance and injury prevention?

Kate Davis: Strength training is one of the single best investments a female tennis player can make for both performance and longevity on the court. The serve, the overhead, the split step are all explosive, full-body movements that demand strength. The players I see staying competitive into their 40s and 50s are almost universally the ones who have made strength a non-negotiable part of their training. Love All is designed for women in that exact category, women who move powerfully and want apparel that keeps up.

Gainful: Recovery is increasingly discussed as a competitive advantage rather than passive rest. How does that philosophy show up in the way Love All thinks about the tennis lifestyle?

Kate Davis: Love All was built around the idea that tennis does not end when you walk off the court. The recovery, the social hour, the errands after practice – that is all part of the lifestyle we design for. Our pieces are made to take you from the court to the cafe seamlessly, and that "court to cafe" aesthetic is not just a style choice. It reflects how our customers actually live. They are not going home to change. They are moving through their day in what they wore to play. Love All has been featured in Forbes for fusing tennis heritage with modern lifestyle appeal, and that recognition comes from understanding the full picture of what it means to be a woman who plays tennis today.

Gainful: For women who are serious about their game and want apparel that keeps up with that commitment, what should they be looking for?

Kate Davis: They should be looking for pieces that were actually designed with them in mind. That sounds simple, but it is rarer than it should be. At Love All, we test our fits on real women, not just fit models, which is why our tennis dresses, skorts, and matching sets fit and flatter the way they do

We are one of the most curated collections of women's tennis apparel in the U.S., and we are stocked at Nordstrom and trusted by country club members across the Northeast and Florida because we get that customer. From the Kate Skort Classic to our vintage-inspired tennis dresses to our Oprah-endorsed sock bundles and embroidered sweatshirts featured on the Today Show, everything we make is for the woman who takes her game seriously and wants her wardrobe to reflect that.
